I sent two messages but may not have gotten numbers right. I have two versions on my computer, 2.10 and 2.2.4.4 Which is newest and why am I unable to remove either? THX

weather Pulse causes my ratio sizing to change..is erratic. I may have two versions..2.10 and 2.2.4.4 installed. Which is better? It does not allow me to remove any. THX

Try running the auto-update now and see if the new update to v1.32 fixes the shutdown problem some of you are having.

Yes. Please see my original comment:

While running v1.31 on XP...

Originally I had installed MyIPAlert1200.exe but could not get it to send email alerts. Uninstalled, then installed MyIPAlert1310.exe. At some point after installing MyIPAlert1xxx.exe my Windows Shutdown control stopped working while MyIPAlert is running.

I don't know if it existed in MyIPAlert1200.exe as I did not experiment with it very long.

I am currently running MyIPAlert1310.exe and the shutdown problem exists.

This was a known problem with previous versions.

Are you using the latest version?
MyIPAlert is at v1.31 at the time of this comment..

Brad, are you talking to dedi? My software is not locking up at all. MyIPAlert/firewall is setup correctly and sends notifications when my IP address has changed as expected. Everything appears to be working except when I go to shutdown Windows, it is at that point that I realize that I am being ignored. If I click Star, select Shutdown, then click OK, the Shutdown window box goes away and nothing else happens. I can do this repeatedly. If I exit MyIPAlert, and attempt another Shutdown, Shutdown actually shuts down as expected.

Make sure the software can get through the Windows firewall, it's also possible your port is blocked for SMTP.

It sounds like the software was or is locking up on you, what kind of Internet connection do you have?

While running v1.31 on XP, my requests to log off/shutdown/restart, etc. are simply ignored. If I exit MyIPAlert, log off/shutdown/restart begin to work as expected. Is this still a known issue currently being worked on?
